It is not easily forgiven and has the tendency to end friendships, tarnish reputations or turn friends into enemies. Betrayal is the breaking of a social contract (trust, or confidence) that causes conflict between individuals or between corporations. Have you ever been betrayed? Have you ever felt that someone you trusted acted against you or aided your enemies? Have you ever been “stabbed in the back”? How do you look upon people who betray their friends?

In-directly I got betrayed by a friend so-called buddy. He dug a hole and asked me to walk in-straight to it. I don't even care about how he treated his messy relationship but..getting me into his playboy game is really too much. He hurted most of the girls even caused peoples failed in marriage. What can I say, I still treated this worst man as a friend even I provided him moneys and foods when his financial been freezed by Bank due to bad credit-card debts. Some of my friends who knew his history, have no respect on him at all even his colleague. No matters how long I've been friends with him, there's NO telling what he's thinking and when he's going to betray you. To peoples who don't know his life-style, has no idea that he's a bastard. A Bastard with all the bad intentions in his mind. Be careful of how much trust you put in your friends and who you let in your circle of trust. People are mainly self serving and your interests and theirs may not always be in line. This is what I've learned this year.

Previously kindred spirits can become sworn enemies because of broken trust. This painful emotional of mine blows to be betrayed by a trusted friend. The pain of betrayal can cause maniacal acts of revenge.

Trust is like a balloon. One prick and it is gone. It is very easy to make enemies in former friends by breaking trust. The fear of broken promises or betrayal can reduce the quality of friendships. It is not easy to bounce back from betrayal but forgiveness, punishment, and remorse can help in the healing process.

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though … betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope. -Steven Deitz-

LIFE is HARD

Do you ever feel like breaking down and out of place? Judgment Day has passed. The machines have all but obliterated civilization. Pockets of human resistance gather to join Christian Bale’s John Connor, the prophesied leader. However, the Christ-figure has a new future to save, where humans are gathered in mechanical concentration camps for gruesome experimentation and the machine plans to launch its latest Terminator, the T-800 Model 101. In the midst of all this, Connor has to secure the existence of his future father, Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and contend with Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), an ominous cyborg who thinks he’s human.

Within an instant, dead air is interrupted by the loud, clanging sound of a Terminator unloading pounds of ammo. There are giant Transformers-like robots that crash through ceilings to pluck live humans, automated motorcycles burn through the streets hunting their prey and little metal snakes pounce from underwater and go straight for the face. The Terminators are no longer lean, chrome skeletons but bulky, monstrous figures. There’s no reason for the action junkie to miss out on Terminator Salvation, given the sheer velocity of its first hour and the absolute horror that these gunmetal zombies evoke. As far as loud, explosive, metal-grinding action goes, Terminator Salvation comes a close second to Terminator 2’s epic stunts.

Overall: Is an awesome movie if you enjoyed the action and special effects sequences. But was a bit disappointed on the story lines with too focus on Marcus Wright rather than Conner. Thus the real characters of this movie are Reese and Wright, the latter whom is a cyborg suffering from Blade Runner-like existential issues. sigh..

Pre-employment medical check up

I'm going to start my new job next week and I suppose there's no escape on medical check-up. If you're not down with the cloud, you can even tell this extension to store your stuff on your own server. Foxmarks is also available on IE and Safari, and you can separate your work bookmarking from ooh-cool life stuff with selective bookmark profiles. It's the tool that lets you keep fleeting thoughts, IM links, and other ephemeral web stuff all together, so of course we dig on it. The transition to Xmarks adds a few semi-nifty, social-y features to your searching and bookmarking, but if you're not keen on those changes, you can easily disable them in the Xmarks preferences.

Xmarks is a superset of Foxmarks. With the new Xmarks versions, you’ll still enjoy bookmark sync, backup, and all the features you love about Foxmarks. In addition, you’ll have access to Smarter Search, a new discovery feature that helps you learn more about top sites when you search on Google, Yahoo or Microsoft Live Search. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. As the worldwide recession deepens, more and more companies are adopting this strategy in an effort to reduce labor costs while avoiding major layoffs. Whether you, as an employee, should accept the offer depends on your specific needs, both in terms of your career and personal finances. I was given a choice to respond to the salary cut with the statement below.

With your agreement, your base salary will be reduced by 5% with effect from June 1, 2009, and a corresponding reduction in any salary-related benefits, including EPF contribution, Personal Accident Insurance, Term Life Insurance, Annual Wage Supplement, SOP, Vacation Leave encashment (earned unused upon termination) and Overtime, if eligible.

As the economy worsens, and the economic slump deepens and broadens, many of us are faced with difficult choices about how to survive. A lots of company searching for ways to trim costs. Many are turning to layoffs or salary cuts, or both. Tough times require tough measures, and I suspect things are going to get worse before they get better.

Pro: You get to keep your job.
Pro: The company will owe you.
Pro: You’re helping your colleagues stay employed.

Con: The offer may not match your financial needs.
Con: It decreases your professional standing.
Con: You may never reach the same pay grade again.

Whether or not you decide taking a salary cut is right for you, it’s important you behave with integrity. Don’t let your reduced pay affect the quality of your work or make you bitter. Otherwise, you’d be wasting all the goodwill you garnered when you accepted the offer. By the same token, if you choose to quit your job instead, make sure not to burn any bridges. Leaving a company for a higher remuneration is perfectly understandable; doing so in a disrespectful manner is not. Remember that your professional reputation is more important than any salary.

Infectuously Cute Plush Microbes!

Most folks never realize how cute microbes can be when expanded 1,000,000 times and then fashioned into cuddly plush. Many men often find themselves coming apart in the midst of unexpected circumstances, allowing an emotional and unpredictable outburst to overtake them and dictate what they say and do. When that happens, the outcome is rarely in their favor.

Consider the times when:
You get into an intense fight with a woman. Have you ever tried to take back something nasty you blurted out to a woman? It’s impossible; they never forget.

You’re in a high-stakes discussion with the boss. Perception is king, so surrendering even an ounce of emotion is playing right into his hands.

You’re the fresh recipient of an insult barbed to incite your rage. Overreacting is the same as admitting it’s true, whether your response is a sad comeback or a punch to the face.

Learning to pull yourself together and gain control over these emotions and actions before they bury you -- before you’re full of regret and wondering how you’ll apologize -- is the aim of the following four steps.Learn how to pull yourself together so that you don’t undo in a moment what took weeks, months or years to build.

Physically distract yourself

Since emotions are overthrowing your better judgment, the first step necessary to pull yourself together is the most crucial. As your blood starts to boil, take immediate action. Create a physical distraction to detach yourself from your rising emotions. Bite your cheek or your tongue, pinch yourself, dig a fingernail into your side; find some way to stem the tide. The key is not so much to remind yourself of what you need to do, but to jar your senses back to a manageable level, a level that grants you some measure of reasonable thought.

Whatever physical distraction you choose , make it subtle. Head-butting a wall or slamming a door on your fingers will only make you look like an unstable psycho.

Remove yourself with dignity

What does it mean to remove yourself from a situation with dignity? It means playing the “good manners” card. People have a difficult time questioning anything you say or do if you do it politely, so at this step excuse yourself for a moment. There’s no need to explain your actions; just do it without waiting for a response.

For example, if you are in a heated discussion with the boss or you were just on the receiving end of an insult, muster up a civil tone, crack the smallest little smile and say, “Would you excuse me for a moment? I’ll be right back.” Not only does it beat running out of the room in tears, but it also puts you in a position of control over your emotions and over the situation.

Return with a rational mindset

While you’re away from the situation, you can pull yourself together by working on a goal to pursue on your return.

Calm yourself down and achieve a rational mindset, one you can bring back into the situation. In this case, a detached, impersonal mindset can operate above the fray. Your cool indifference will serve you best if you don’t try to resolve a situation that you know cannot be resolved without putting some time between it and any decision or action you might take.

Wrap it up

Bring this situation to a close -- even if it means postponing the issue and not resolving it. Resolution is a fantastic thing, but it is exceedingly rare and not something you can depend upon.

So, to pull yourself together, wrap up the exchange that provoked your emotions and brought you -- and possibly your adversary -- to the brink. You have acquired a measure of control by politely excusing yourself, and you have armed yourself with a rational mindset, so now is the time to leverage those power sources by enforcing your will on this exchange.

By being the one to shut down this confrontation, you come full circle: You began this experience by getting crushed under a wave of emotions that sought to dictate your behavior. Having taken steps to pull yourself together, you end it in the very best way -- in control of your emotions and of the situation that tried to influence them.

By Ross Bonander
-Stress Management Specialist-

Planning A Career Change

Getting tire of the same old routine...and I always felt that I need to move on with my career! Maybe a career change is in order or an opportunity is needed.

But I still unsure with the reason for wanting to pursue a new path. Is it because of the downsizing? As my current company has merged with HP and the bad economy affects all. Is not that I dislike my current position and daily tasks...well, I do have all the free times I needed such as a tea break, longer lunch hrs, and work from home.

I do feel as though I'm exhausted the steps of the corporate ladder, and that I cannot move up anymore. There's no increment and with the low pay which caused me to move on??? If that's the case, then I might want to change settings, and start a fresh in a job that allows me to grow professionally and financially.

These days we are more likely to hang on to our car lease longer than our career. In today's workplace, the average young professional burns through nearly three jobs in the first five years of our career.

Once I ever think of when we're past on our first job and actually in the career world, moving into another profession is a lot easier than getting our foot in the door for the very first time. In my point of view, our degree only buys us an initial interview, thereafter it's all about what we actually accomplished and the skills we have learned.

Can money buy happiness?

Money Money Money...everyone been talking about money ^^

Does money matter$ in life? Of course it does...but how much does it really matter?

Come to think of it, we can use it to make most of our troubles disappear. Sounds good!!! But money cannot literally buy happiness. It may help to cope with troubles that prevent us from being happy. In my belief, money can bring relief if the lack of it is causing stress. If a person is generally neurotic, unhappy and pessimistic, no amount of money will help in his/her life.

My earning is not as much as I expected which caused me stress. I do think of plans to get more moneys but eventually everything doesn't turn out the way I wanted. Obstacle is everywhere and I don't think I have determination to overcome them.

A windfall can also bring problems to people who don't know how to deal with money. To those who have lived from hand to mouth all their lives, unless they are intelligent about it, there is a tendency to fritter a windfall away. One has to know how to use money wisely, in order to make it work for them.

Agree?

Am I happier with money than I was without money, YES! I grew up poor. Which I remember those days with only RM10 for my whole family to spend on foods per day. Car which always out of petrol, stuck in the middle of the road. A bowl of mee for a family of four. Those were the days...

Life is getting way more better now but I still want more...as I still have student loan to pay off. There's few goals for me to fulfill and I will be a happy man if I able to get them done. ^^

Money:
Total Happiness? NO.
Most of the Happiness? YES, it can.

We need more than money for total happiness.
"Goal Fulfillment" is what we need to get total happiness.

Parking issue

Cyberjaya, Malaysia's first-ever "intelligent city" that forms the heart of the country's Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) initiative. Something has to be done to control street parking which has gone completely out of control as irresponsible motorists park their vehicles just about everywhere, particularly at the corners of major..."

At first, they just have police to issue summons to those illegal parking area and now they start car towing. Sigh.

http://cyberjaya.name/noparking.htm

Everyday I was traveling from home in Subang to Cyberjaya, it's about 45km away and it takes me about 45minutes to get there in the morning. But it takes about an hour and a half for me to get back home as the jam was quite congested in the evenings.

And now I have to wake up at 6am and off to office at 7am to ensure that I get a parking spot. Regarding Park & Ride facility, is about 3-5km away. Obviously Cyberjaya authorities never considered us and forcing us to use this system by implementing a metered-parking system and towing our cars.

Can they imagine the distance of the Park & Ride area and condiser on our safety? How about the ladies? We might stay late for works... These could increase the crime rate in Cyberjaya.

Most properly I will work from home more often.

Foolish

I have a question for myself, can a guy who's ex became his best friend? I'm been waiting for years for her to fall for me and is time for me to open my eyes a little wider to the truth.

I dated her, whom I consider to be the woman of my dreams, for past few years. And I managed to have her for 10 months and then we broke up because of long distance relationship. We remained close friend since then and we have chances of getting back together but I mess it up. I think I'm a jerk after all. Regretted since that day.

It's been 1yrs plus since our break up, and we still friends but I still have strong feelings for her. She is now seeing a man, which I think she already started the relationship with him.

I'm seeing other women, but I'm still havin trouble getting her off my mind. In this past few months, I been thinking a lots and I might ultimately used as the "backup" guy.

Come to think straight now, being best friends with this girl is a big waste of my time. When I'm out, means I'm out. So, why am I hanging around all this time? She might like to use me as her sounding board, she been telling me about the new men in her life. Sigh. Thinking of all the women I could have dated in the past few years while this girl had 0% interest level to spend her whole life with me. I'm a fool.

Now, I'm reliazing something about her. She actually like to have new guys in her life as she been with a lots of guys before. And she likes bad guys because they're not boring? The sad truth is that she prefers a jerk to someone who crawls around on his hands and knees begging: "What would you like me to do next, my Queen?"

That's nothing I can do with the current situation, because she's not reacting to my emotionally at all. She likes this new guy because she just really likes him.

She doesn't know anything about me being the real deal deep down inside. She doesn't even care about me. She doesn't have feelings for me and that's the facts. She have feelings for her new boyfriend. That's why she kisses the other guy and she looks at me as a little whipped puppy dog. She and that guy are laughing at me and I'm getting it.

Remember guys, "When it's over, it's over".

Schedule up yourself

I wonder whether I have the ability to keep myself efficient. An useful tools like PDAs can be used for this. In order to align my busy schedule as it is on paper with the inexactitude of reality, adhere to the following tips for effective scheduling.

1. Clarified objectives
Carefully consider your objectives for events such as meetings beforehand, noting precisely what you want to accomplish and what questions you may need to ask. Doing so will allow you to allot the right amount of time to events in your schedule. When you arrive or, if possible, in advance of the appointment, clarify these objectives by making them known to others.

2. Punctual
Make it a priority to be on time and seek to develop a reputation for punctuality. Few reputations will precede you more effectively or say more good things about your professional persona than an adherence and dedication to punctuality. This doesn’t mean arriving exactly on the hour or demanding that others do so as well; rather, it’s a function of your reliability. It shows you can manage a busy schedule, that you respect the time and attention of others and that you insist upon the same.

3. Keep track
In his book How to Organize (Just About) Everything, author Peter Walsh offers the following advice: “Keep track of how much of your workweek you devote to appointments. If the amount exceeds 50%, evaluate whether other people’s agendas are overpowering yours.”

It can certainly happen, which is why Walsh also suggests that you make sure to include in your schedule time to work alone without intrusion.

4. Send confirmations
A schedule that includes meetings and appointments with other people takes a bit of control out of your hands and puts its efficiency in jeopardy. One step to take back some of that control is to send e-mail reminders the day before or the morning of in order to confirm your meetings with all those involved. It will also help you reschedule in the event of cancellations.

5. Be realistic
Time is the ultimate factor here, so making an unrealistic assessment of even one meeting or event can throw off the remainder of your schedule and, consequently, your entire day. Furthermore, while it would be nice to dispatch with certain unpleasant appointments quickly, you can’t make out your schedule this way. In other words, learn to schedule realistically, not ideally. Make an estimate on the time, then add 10% to 20% on top of that to allow for travel, drawn-out meetings, etc.

<img
