Facts of life

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I have not lived.”

Betrayal

Betrayal is a sad act for the person betrayed and the betrayer. It is not easily forgiven and has the tendency to end friendships, tarnish reputations or turn friends into enemies. Betrayal is the breaking of a social contract (trust, or confidence) that causes conflict between individuals or between corporations. Have you ever been betrayed? Have you ever felt that someone you trusted acted against you or aided your enemies? Have you ever been “stabbed in the back”? How do you look upon people who betray their friends?

In-directly I got betrayed by a friend so-called buddy. He dug a hole and asked me to walk in-straight to it. I don't even care about how he treated his messy relationship but..getting me into his playboy game is really too much. He hurted most of the girls even caused peoples failed in marriage. What can I say, I still treated this worst man as a friend even I provided him moneys and foods when his financial been freezed by Bank due to bad credit-card debts. Some of my friends who knew his history, have no respect on him at all even his colleague. No matters how long I've been friends with him, there's NO telling what he's thinking and when he's going to betray you. To peoples who don't know his life-style, has no idea that he's a bastard. A Bastard with all the bad intentions in his mind. Be careful of how much trust you put in your friends and who you let in your circle of trust. People are mainly self serving and your interests and theirs may not always be in line. This is what I've learned this year.

Previously kindred spirits can become sworn enemies because of broken trust. This painful emotional of mine blows to be betrayed by a trusted friend. The pain of betrayal can cause maniacal acts of revenge.

Trust is like a balloon. One prick and it is gone. It is very easy to make enemies in former friends by breaking trust. The fear of broken promises or betrayal can reduce the quality of friendships. It is not easy to bounce back from betrayal but forgiveness, punishment, and remorse can help in the healing process.

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though … betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope. -Steven Deitz-

LIFE is HARD

Do you ever feel like breaking down and out of place? Somehow you just don't belong anywhere and no one able to understands you. When thing like this happens, I use to lock myself up with the music turned up so loud and NO one hears my screaming.

These are the sign of lost. Suddenly, I felt that I'm stuck in the World I HATE. Everyone with their big fake smile and lies which hurts me alots. Am I Sick? or Am the only one who saw the hidden EVIL intentions of everyone? I can't trust any friends of mine anymore. All of them are fitting up my filter list.

*The function of wisdom is to discriminate between good and evil.

Pre-employment medical check up

I'm going to start my new job next week and I suppose there's no escape on medical check-up. So I went to Medijaya clinic SS21 for the checks. They took a urine sample, there was an eye sight test, hearing test, and I think it was a blood pressure test? When they wrap that thing around your arm and start pumping it...feels good ^^

So when it comes to blood test, creeps me out. The doc told me to look away if I'm afraid of needles and I did. Is not that I'm afraid of pain, is just that I hate to see those needles stuck in my skin...ouch

Medical checks on the following:
1)Height
2)Weight
3)Eyesight (including colour blindness)

4)Chest Xray
5)Take urine sample for drug test.
6)Take blood sample test for hepatitis b and HIV.

Salary Cut

Salary Reduction Letter - Consent Required Addendum to the Employment Contract Malaysia

Your boss might calls you into his/her office and asks you whether you’d consider taking a pay cut in order to keep your job. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. As the worldwide recession deepens, more and more companies are adopting this strategy in an effort to reduce labor costs while avoiding major layoffs. Whether you, as an employee, should accept the offer depends on your specific needs, both in terms of your career and personal finances. I was given a choice to respond to the salary cut with the statement below.

With your agreement, your base salary will be reduced by 5% with effect from June 1, 2009, and a corresponding reduction in any salary-related benefits, including EPF contribution, Personal Accident Insurance, Term Life Insurance, Annual Wage Supplement, SOP, Vacation Leave encashment (earned unused upon termination) and Overtime, if eligible.

As the economy worsens, and the economic slump deepens and broadens, many of us are faced with difficult choices about how to survive. A lots of company searching for ways to trim costs. Many are turning to layoffs or salary cuts, or both. Tough times require tough measures, and I suspect things are going to get worse before they get better.

Pro: You get to keep your job.
Pro: The company will owe you.
Pro: You’re helping your colleagues stay employed.

Con: The offer may not match your financial needs.
Con: It decreases your professional standing.
Con: You may never reach the same pay grade again.

Whether or not you decide taking a salary cut is right for you, it’s important you behave with integrity. Don’t let your reduced pay affect the quality of your work or make you bitter. Otherwise, you’d be wasting all the goodwill you garnered when you accepted the offer. By the same token, if you choose to quit your job instead, make sure not to burn any bridges. Leaving a company for a higher remuneration is perfectly understandable; doing so in a disrespectful manner is not. Remember that your professional reputation is more important than any salary.

5 days and counting

I have resigned from my current job and 5 more days to go before I'm leaving. Backing up my files and documents are quite a tedious job for me. Feeling excited and nervous all at the same time, but mostly I can't believed that I've moving forward towards my careers.

My team lead asked me whether everything is going well or not. I suppose everything is on schedule except for one stupid project(task) which I haven't get any details and confirmation on it. Can I really leave without any worries? ^^ hehe... One of my colleague has been away on leave for about 2 days. I haven't done any knowledge tranfers to her yet. Things might get ugly at the end of my last day in this company.

Planning A Career Change

Getting tire of the same old routine...and I always felt that I need to move on with my career! Maybe a career change is in order or an opportunity is needed.

But I still unsure with the reason for wanting to pursue a new path. Is it because of the downsizing? As my current company has merged with HP and the bad economy affects all. Is not that I dislike my current position and daily tasks...well, I do have all the free times I needed such as a tea break, longer lunch hrs, and work from home.

I do feel as though I'm exhausted the steps of the corporate ladder, and that I cannot move up anymore. There's no increment and with the low pay which caused me to move on??? If that's the case, then I might want to change settings, and start a fresh in a job that allows me to grow professionally and financially.

These days we are more likely to hang on to our car lease longer than our career. In today's workplace, the average young professional burns through nearly three jobs in the first five years of our career.

Once I ever think of when we're past on our first job and actually in the career world, moving into another profession is a lot easier than getting our foot in the door for the very first time. In my point of view, our degree only buys us an initial interview, thereafter it's all about what we actually accomplished and the skills we have learned.

Can money buy happiness?

Money Money Money...everyone been talking about money ^^

Does money matter$ in life? Of course it does...but how much does it really matter?

Come to think of it, we can use it to make most of our troubles disappear. Sounds good!!! But money cannot literally buy happiness. It may help to cope with troubles that prevent us from being happy. In my belief, money can bring relief if the lack of it is causing stress. If a person is generally neurotic, unhappy and pessimistic, no amount of money will help in his/her life.

My earning is not as much as I expected which caused me stress. I do think of plans to get more moneys but eventually everything doesn't turn out the way I wanted. Obstacle is everywhere and I don't think I have determination to overcome them.

A windfall can also bring problems to people who don't know how to deal with money. To those who have lived from hand to mouth all their lives, unless they are intelligent about it, there is a tendency to fritter a windfall away. One has to know how to use money wisely, in order to make it work for them.

Agree?

Am I happier with money than I was without money, YES! I grew up poor. Which I remember those days with only RM10 for my whole family to spend on foods per day. Car which always out of petrol, stuck in the middle of the road. A bowl of mee for a family of four. Those were the days...

Life is getting way more better now but I still want more...as I still have student loan to pay off. There's few goals for me to fulfill and I will be a happy man if I able to get them done. ^^

Money:
Total Happiness? NO.
Most of the Happiness? YES, it can.

We need more than money for total happiness.
"Goal Fulfillment" is what we need to get total happiness.

Parking issue

Cyberjaya, Malaysia's first-ever "intelligent city" that forms the heart of the country's Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) initiative. And it used to be a Dream City to me with no traffic jam and it's really very peaceful.

But HELL no to me now. As traffic is getting heavy and parking bays were never sufficient to us at the first place has become worst.

Let's highlight those out, insufficient parking bays and expensive parking fees(RM350 for deposit), parking facilities that are too far away from the main office and those in places that are badly lit are some of the excuses motorist have given for parking their vehicles illegally along the main office areas.

Check out these links!

http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2008/12/29/central/2896639&sec=central

"INDISCRIMINATE parking is giving Selangor's intelligent city Cyberjaya a bad name. Something has to be done to control street parking which has gone completely out of control as irresponsible motorists park their vehicles just about everywhere, particularly at the corners of major..."

At first, they just have police to issue summons to those illegal parking area and now they start car towing. Sigh.

http://cyberjaya.name/noparking.htm

Everyday I was traveling from home in Subang to Cyberjaya, it's about 45km away and it takes me about 45minutes to get there in the morning. But it takes about an hour and a half for me to get back home as the jam was quite congested in the evenings.

And now I have to wake up at 6am and off to office at 7am to ensure that I get a parking spot. Regarding Park & Ride facility, is about 3-5km away. Obviously Cyberjaya authorities never considered us and forcing us to use this system by implementing a metered-parking system and towing our cars.

Can they imagine the distance of the Park & Ride area and condiser on our safety? How about the ladies? We might stay late for works... These could increase the crime rate in Cyberjaya.

Most properly I will work from home more often.

Foolish

I have a question for myself, can a guy who's ex became his best friend? I'm been waiting for years for her to fall for me and is time for me to open my eyes a little wider to the truth.

I dated her, whom I consider to be the woman of my dreams, for past few years. And I managed to have her for 10 months and then we broke up because of long distance relationship. We remained close friend since then and we have chances of getting back together but I mess it up. I think I'm a jerk after all. Regretted since that day.

It's been 1yrs plus since our break up, and we still friends but I still have strong feelings for her. She is now seeing a man, which I think she already started the relationship with him.

I'm seeing other women, but I'm still havin trouble getting her off my mind. In this past few months, I been thinking a lots and I might ultimately used as the "backup" guy.

Come to think straight now, being best friends with this girl is a big waste of my time. When I'm out, means I'm out. So, why am I hanging around all this time? She might like to use me as her sounding board, she been telling me about the new men in her life. Sigh. Thinking of all the women I could have dated in the past few years while this girl had 0% interest level to spend her whole life with me. I'm a fool.

Now, I'm reliazing something about her. She actually like to have new guys in her life as she been with a lots of guys before. And she likes bad guys because they're not boring? The sad truth is that she prefers a jerk to someone who crawls around on his hands and knees begging: "What would you like me to do next, my Queen?"

That's nothing I can do with the current situation, because she's not reacting to my emotionally at all. She likes this new guy because she just really likes him.

She doesn't know anything about me being the real deal deep down inside. She doesn't even care about me. She doesn't have feelings for me and that's the facts. She have feelings for her new boyfriend. That's why she kisses the other guy and she looks at me as a little whipped puppy dog. She and that guy are laughing at me and I'm getting it.

Remember guys, "When it's over, it's over".

Fractions and Frictions of Eternity

Life desires love
Love hires life
Love inspires life
Life expires love
Life recreates love
Love creates life
Love impresses life
Life expresses love
Life tires love
Love fires life

So what?
Why so many lives lost for love?
Was there any love lost for life?
There was a Savior who lost His for love
Yeah, even a pure love for his people
But a phony one who wants to save all
For his love of power and glory came
And declared a great war in heaven
An eternal war of good and evil
The casualties were and are so great
And the loyalties firm to retaliate

Each time a man made his choice
Whether in plain or on sea's noise
These seemingly antonyms of old
With enmity from ancient foretold
One could receive a life eternal
While the other death infernal
One may use things to love people
The other use people to love things
But few can use both things and men
To feed their endless obsessions' den
Does this mean that man's choice a day
Will determine his eternal pathway?
Absolutely! Towards his own destiny
To cradle his life and love in continuity
With its fractions and frictions of eternity!
